A standard ticket includes a dish from every vendor, ranging from marinated chicken thighs and slow-cooked barbeque pork to sticky toffee and chocolate cupcakes and indulgent coffees. The food will also be accompanied by a range of DJs, spilling over into an after party at the end of the night.
"There are so many young and talented food vendors around London at the moment and Fili Fest is an opportunity to give them a chance to shine and gain a wider reach within an up-and-coming North London area” explained event organizer Elaine Manalo.
The feel-good vibes don’t stop there. For every ticket sold, £1 will be donated to London-based charity Wonder Foundation, which works to further girls’ education in the UK and around the world. This includes supporting vocational education for disadvantaged girls in the Philippines, enabling them to access good quality employment and so break the cycle of poverty.
“Wonder Foundation have amazing projects not just in the Philippines but multiple communities around the world and I wanted to support a great cause - empowerment through education” Elaine added.
“Together, these talented foodies and worthwhile cause represent the good in today's society - and that's definitely worth having a party for!"
