Women in Business raised £1400 to support our work from their inspirational ceremony on 21st September.
Last night the Wonder Foundation was honoured to be the chosen charity of the Women in Business Awards, which took place at Oakley Hall, near Basingstoke. Our Policy Director Olivia Darby attended the ceremony and met some of the incredible people nominated for their own successes, and for championing women in business in other ways, and those who were there to celebrate these achievements. Guests raised an impressive £1400 for us on the night.
“It was such a privilege to meet so many inspiring women and others working to give women opportunities,” Olivia said. “When Tamsin Napier-Munn spoke about the challenges many of the nominees faced and the importance of women supporting each other, it drew parallels with the hard-working women leadings and graduating from our partner programmes. Mentoring is an essential part of our education programmes, and it was amazing to be with so many people who see why role models, encouragement and positive motivation make such a difference to women as they seek to develop their careers and find work-life balance. We are so grateful to everyone not only for their donations yesterday, but also for the work they do empowering women every day."
We would like to congratulate everyone involved in the spectacular ceremony last night, and hope to work with Women in Business to continue to bring inspiring women in the UK closer to their younger counterparts across the world.
