The FATIMA Project Kick-off

Friday, February 23, 2018

Earlier this week, Wonder Foundation witnessed the kick-off of our long anticipated EU partnership project: FATIMA alongside our collaborative partners.

To launch the FATIMA project, partners, including the Baytree Centre, Sursum, Senara and Panorama joined Wonder Foundation for the initiation meeting on Monday 19th February.

At the meeting, representatives from each organisation discussed the various means and creative methods that can be utilised to ensure migrant women are empowered through a personalised and holistic approach that supports their economic, social, cultural and political integration into the communities they have settled into.

The project aims to engage 210 women aged between 15 and 50 living in the UK, Poland, Slovenia, and Spain. Each woman will receive one-to-one support through language class, mentoring, personalised development programmes, civic engagement and cultural activities plan, volunteering and work experience.

We will be posting regular updates on our website and social media, so be sure to subscribe to our monthly newsletters here. Alternatively, you can get in touch with our Project Manager, Paola Delmonaco via email

The FATIMA project is funded by the European Union’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.
