“I loved the evening, it was a beautiful event from start to finish. Not only was the music, food and entertainment superb but the company was so interesting and friendly, with everyone there together for a common cause. Well done Wonder!"
Our third annual Wonder Ball last month was a great success with 140 dinner guests and a further 30 or so dancing guests in attendance. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and everyone was in great spirits with old friends catching up and new ones being made – undoubtedly, it was an evening where great memories were made and sure to be cherished for years to come!
The entertainment this year went down a treat, with Wonder's very own Business Developer, Brigitta, and her band performing at the drinks reception, which created a fantastic atmosphere early one, with everyone in a great mood!
The highlight of the evening was a speech carried out by Lilian Banegas, a beneficiary of our partner school in Honduras. Wonder Foundation has been supporting Los Sauces school for a number of years, and Lilian is a fantastic advocate of the school and a shining example of how education and training have allowed her to achieve many great things, including serving tea to her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee and train some of the teachers back at Los Sauces.
In Honduras, they are now building a second school to support even more women and girls, especially those hailing from rural communities. This is a project that Wonder is going to be working really closely with to help them achieve this.
All in all, the night was extremely successful with everyone enjoying themselves and having fun. A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night truly memorable.
The Wonder Ball will be back for its 4th annual event next year on Saturday 5th October at the Lansdowne, so be sure to save the date!
